What are the risks to a fetus if a patient becomes pregnant while taking Itraconazole 200mg? Continue pregnancy or terminate?
If patient is on tab itraconazole 200mg od ,if she accidentally become pregnant while taking that tab ,what is the risk to fetus, weather she can continue pregnancy or better to terminate?

Pregnancy is a risk in this case. Itraconazole is categorized as C for pregnancy, which carries the risk of a fetal defect. It is crucial that the patient discuss with her obstetrician or gynecologist as well as her medication provider. In case of complicated pregnancies, a high risk pregnancy specialist should also be consulted. It is not advised to continue the mediation during pregnancy without getting medical advice.
